Purpose
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting New Product Development (NPD), manufacturing process improvements, and achieving strategic quality goals. You will work with the NPD and Operations teams to meet customer quality, cost, and on-time delivery expectations. Additionally, you will support and maintain the site’s Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of product quality within Manufacturing Operations according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
Lead and manage customer complaints from cradle to grave
Lead or participate in specific production yield, productivity, and customer-focused improvement projects
Support new product development activities from concept through launch, including providing guidance to the NPD team related to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
Lead and provide guidance in conducting structured root cause investigations in manufacturing and supplier facilities
Support or lead DFMEA and PFMEA activities
Analyze and improve processes using risk management, statistical tools, and Six Sigma methodologies
Support and, where applicable, conduct internal and external audits as well as quality performance analysis and reporting
Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality Engineering to improve product quality and reduce cost using root cause investigation tools such as 5 WHYs, fishbone diagrams, and cause and effect matrices
Provide input into project Design Inputs, Product Specification Development, and applicable design control documents as defined by Revvity’s product development process
Plan and manage product quality during transfer to production, including design and process validation
Education and Experience Requirements
Required qualifications
Qualified to at least HNC level (or equivalent) in an appropriate scientific subject with a minimum of 3 years' related professional experience in Quality working to ISO 9001
Strong focus on continuous improvement with a proven track record of leading problem-solving and root cause analysis teams (using Six Sigma or quality tools approach)
Strong understanding of Design Control from concept to launch, with proven experience as quality lead developing and transferring new products to manufacturing
Customer-focused with passion, energy, and drive to continuously improve business processes
Ability to persuade, convince, and influence others while developing structured arguments
Able to work independently with a proactive approach
Capable of working under pressure with the ability to get things done
Willing and able to travel within the UK and overseas as required
Preferred qualifications
Experience of working to ISO 13485
