Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports.
Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems.
Analyse and interpret trends and operating results, focusing on costs, budgets, policies, and profit opportunities.
Establish procedures and internal controls to ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Oversee month-end close procedures.
Create balance sheet reconciliations and monthly journal entries.
Analyse and report month-end financials, including variance analysis.
Prepare monthly financial forecasts and reports on month-end financials.
Contribute to Monthly OCOGS and Site Operating Reviews.
Actively participate in lean projects to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
Ensure adherence to global accounting policies and SOX narratives; perform or review SOX compliance procedures.
Liaise with internal and external auditors.
Monitor and support cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
Conduct excess and obsolescence reserve analysis.
Contribute to various project workstreams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
A minimum of eight years' experience in Accounting, including Cost Accounting experience.
Preferred Skills
In-depth knowledge of Cost Accounting and Cost Accounting Systems.
Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
Strong ability to engage with cross-functional leadership to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and support for senior finance leadership.
Ability to manage time efficiently, ensuring projects are completed accurately and promptly, with a focus on shifting priorities and a commitment to enhancing individual and team efficiency.
Assertive, with a strong bias for action and results-oriented approach; tackles challenging issues with strict deadlines, is self-motivated, and can work with minimal supervision.
