Overview:

Revvity is seeking a Project Manager/Scrum Master for our reproductive health software located in the Akron, Ohio site. The Project Manager will plan and execute software deployment projects, including roles such as software project manager, functional analyst, configuration specialist, quality assurance, software engineering, training, and creation of project documentation. 


Your role will span IT infrastructure, network, security and business applications related projects/implementation.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Essential Functions: Persons in this position should expect to simultaneously manage large deployment projects as well as smaller project tasks. The responsibilities of this job position require:
  • Proper management of project scope and changes so that impact to projects is planned, considered, and agreed upon by all parties.
  • Working knowledge of Revvity software packages and an independent understanding of how to use high-level items within the software.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members in an agile environment, including attendance of agile ceremonies, documenting appropriate requirements for the team, and identifying and removing impediments that may hinder team progress on tasks. 

Client Account Management 

  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize customer requirements in a structured format, including functional, non-functional, and technical requirements.
  • Lead recurring client meetings and requirement gathering sessions. 

Project Management 

  • Ability to manage multiple large and small-scale external projects simultaneously.
  • Creation and enforcement of standard project management methodologies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans that align with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
  • Track project progress against milestones and deliverables, using performance metrics to ensure timely and quality completion.
  • Implement change management plans to address project scope changes and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Ensure project requirements are complete and feasible through review with the client and internal software engineers. 
  • Regularly communicate requirements to all project stakeholders, ensuring everyone is on the same page and any ambiguities are clarified.
  • Have an overall understanding of the Reproductive Health screening business, and how software projects strategically align.
  • Scrum Leader
  • Facilitates key Scrum events including, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Influence the removal of obstacles to the scrum team’s progress.
  • Protect the team from external distractions, promoting personnel to focus on current tasks in the sprint and provide delivered value.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience coordinating and/or managing projects.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an agile team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with shared goals and responsibilities.
  • Proven ability of simultaneously managing multiple large and small-scale projects/tasks.
  • Experience with Health Information Technology (HIT) projects, especially clinical information systems and healthcare application interoperability
  • Proven ability to engage with diverse teams, foster collaboration, and manage stakeholder communication effectively.
  • A proven track record of delivering technology projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification or equivalent
  • Ability to identify project issues and develop effective solutions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver what was promised on time, proactively provide status reports, and independently manage projects from inception through completion with minimal supervisory guidance.


Working Conditions

  • General office atmosphere and laboratory environment workspace. Customer laboratories will include biological sample material.
  • Up to 30% Travel - primarily domestic, may include Canadian and Caribbean regions.
