Performs manufacturing activities, including but not limited to: design; test; checkout; modification; fabrication; and assembly and repair of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Performing assembly and repair of electro-mechanical systems
Performing testing, checkout and trouble-shooting, utilizing schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans
Conducting operational testing and fault isolation on systems and equipment, using manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to equipment as oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus
Assisting in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information and documentation to develop and evaluate options and recommend and implement solutions
Applying principles of engineering science and technological techniques, procedures and equipment to the production of various goods and services
Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and making recommendations or taking actions to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
1-2 years of experience with hand tools and/or machine tools
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent technician experience, computer literacy and hand tool and/or machine tool experience is preferred
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Be able to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
Ability to independently troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and determine resolutions
A willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges; reliable, flexible responsible, dependable and able to complete tasks in a thorough manner; and a strong detail-orientation
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
Knowledge and understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology
Ability to understand written work instructions, electro-mechanical drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Physical Requirements & Expectations:
Blood borne Pathogens Training & Hepatitis B Requirement
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
Must be able to stand and/or sit for up to 8 hours per day
Ability to work overtime from time-to-time as necessary to meet business goals
