ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inspect incoming manufactured goods and compare them to engineering prints, check materials and products for defects in workmanship, look for issues that don't meet industry specifications

  • Match goods on PO and Packing Slip to goods received and passed.

  • Notates goods passed and rejected on Lot Control Forms (LCF)

  • Generates Nonconformance Reports for rejected parts and corresponds with vendors

  • Notifies internal customers when issues arise.

  • Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during and after the manufacture of company products.

  • Uses a variety of inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, electrical and mechanical

  • Inspects products that have been returned by customers and recommends repairs, if necessary

  • Match LCFs to vendor invoices and release the invoices for payment in the Management Accounting System (MAS)

  • Make recommendations on process and material improvements.

  • Identify supplier trends and make recommendations.

  • Receive goods that have arrived via parcel or freight carrier

  • Implement approved changes to procedures.

  • Keep personal workstation clean, organized, and free of clutter.

  • Complete and close Work Orders in Sage 100

  • Stocks approved incoming parts in inventory.

  • Contribute to team effort by completing related tasks efficiently

  • Other duties as assigned.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 2 years minimum of experience in a quality role

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some College experience in a technical field is preferred.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, not quantity. Strong decision-making skills, situational awareness, and performance under pressure.

  • Experienced in collaborative approaches to problem-solving.

  • Motivated self-starter who proactively identifies areas needing improvement.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Proficient at reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.

  • Good interpersonal skills with an emphasis on internal customer support

  • Intermediate computing skills required: Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite.

  • Must be able to follow detailed work instructions.

  • Flexible and able to perform other duties as needed.

  • Use of computer for drawings, record keeping, email, photos, etc.

  • Must be detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting, standing, and bending for long periods of time

  • Lifting and/or moving of up to 40 lbs.

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

  • Warehouse Environment

  • Close work measuring small features.
