Location: Poland
Overview:
Support the Finance Controller in managing financial operations, reporting, and analysis for the Groningen (located in the Netherlands) manufacturing entity. Drive accurate and timely financial reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business objectives in the life sciences industry.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis (25%)
- Active support for monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports includes statutory sales analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on budget/forecasts vs. actual performance.
- Support account consolidation processes and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare the financial upload (extract from SAP to HFM)
- Maintain and enhance financial dashboards and KPI reporting
- Foster cross-functional relationships with operations, procurement, planning, and PPI teams
Accounting Operations (35%)
- Oversee general ledger activities including internal cross charge and account reconciliations
- Reconcile monthly inventory files and analyze WIP and Scrap account.
- Run the monthly PIN file and annual Subpart F file.
- Run the quarterly E&O reserve preparation.
- Manage expense allocations and cost center reporting.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Do active daily cost roll ups and annual re standardization process.
Support active statutory files and local requirements (20%)
- Run the monthly VAT file
- Run the goods movement file for statutory purposes
- Run the annual audit file for statutory purposes
- Run and support active requested statutory files
- Run the statistics for CBS Intrastat.
- Run projects for Grants like WBSO
Planning & Analysis (10%)
- Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Analyze capital expenditure requests and track project ROI
- Support pricing analysis and profitability assessments
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis for business initiatives
Compliance & Controls (10%)
- Maintain SOX compliance documentation and testing
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA preferred or progress toward certification
- 3-5 years progressive finance/accounting experience
- Experience with ERP system SAP
- Strong Excel and Financial modeling skills
- Life sciences or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Business partnership mindset
- Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.
- Produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.
