Key Responsibilities
- Perform accounting duties for the corporate sites and a number of other corporate entities. Includes the reconciliation and analysis of all the activity in various cash accounts and/or intercompany accounts, as well as assisting with the presentation of the corporate financial results to management.
- As part of the corporate accountant’s responsibilities, perform general ledger reconciliations, investigate variances and work with all sites and other internal departments to reduce variances. Prepare various monthly entries as part of the monthly close process. Interact with Site Controllers of other Revvity locations to ensure the proper accounting for transactions involving multiple sites.
- Work with the Corporate Accounting Team to develop strong internal controls, maintain systems, and continuously improve processes.
- Interact with and provide assistance to our corporate tax group in understanding the corporate results so they can prepare tax provisions and returns.
- Interact with and support the external reporting group by preparing and analyzing financial information to help them prepare our external filings.
- Maintain Corporate Sarbanes Oxley narratives and perform Sarbanes Oxley testing related to the corporate entities.
- Perform other related duties of similar complexity as directed. This position is a part of Revvity's corporate accounting group at the company’s corporate headquarters, so additional duties could include, but are not limited to, consolidations of other businesses within the Revvity, Inc. portfolio, and special projects.
Critical Success Factors
- Technical Skills: University degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-3 years of accounting experience. Experience with SAP. Familiarity with US GAAP, foreign currency and intercompany transactions a plus. Knowledge of MS Office.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences. This role includes frequent communications with Controllers at the Business Unit’s Operating Sites. Fluent English language required.
- Management of Resources: Allocates time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities; continually seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency. Demonstrates ability to be effective within a matrix environment. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and take ownership of projects, performing job requirements with minimal oversight and attention to detail.
- Business & Organization Knowledge: Understands the Revvity business and the impact of the Accounting & Finance organization on the operation.
- Change Management: Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines.
