Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse responsibilities
Full knowledge and understanding of SAP for warehouse management
Management of Site inventory control and active participation in annual inventory counts.
Be the backup of the logistics manager, directly supervise and coordinate the activities of Material Handlers and dispatch during his/her absence
Assist the Logistics manager to review SOPs, Continuous improvement project and maintaining KPIs
Knowledge and Site management of CAA Known Consignor program.
Work with the logistics manager to drive the performance (operational) metrics
Logistics Responsibilities
Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments and providing proof of delivery.
Use SAP, freight system, and internet to track status of inbound/outbound shipments
Contact the carriers and freight forwarders to solve any delays in inbound and outbound freights. Work closely with ITC to solve any issues customs related issues.
Check and approved freight, import taxes and brokage invoices
Develop and monitor logistics KPI`s using the system Intelligent Logistics
Quote inbound freights when requested
Knowledge of SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
Improve and create SOP related to all Logistics activities.
Support and active cross-functional interaction with other departments to meet site goals and business needs.
Develop, maintain, and report cost reduction projects reporting to the warehouse/logistics manager.
Knowledge of the import and export procedures and regulations.
Issue manual customs invoices (non-systematic shipments)
Send customs clearance instructions and check import declarations
Track and control shipments until the delivery point – Incoterm DAP
Issue and control export paperwork
Active communication and management with Freight Forwarders
Basic Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; requires interaction with many stakeholders both internally and externally.
Experience in Logistics and warehouse roles
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Strong knowledge of SAP is advantageous, for all transactions and various interfaces as it relates to shipping consumable, instrument, and service orders.
Background in Hazardous materials shipping, IATA is preferrable but not essential.
Experience in Continuous Improvement/DMAIC process is preferred
