The Opportunity

We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to help maintain and refurbish scientific instruments in Catalonia and surrounding areas. This role is key to ensuring high-quality service and reliability for critical lab technologies that support advancements in human health.

Your Tasks

Deliver expert maintenance and repair services by working on a wide range of equipment both at the Madrid site and directly at customer locations across Spain.

Support customers proactively through on-site visits, remote troubleshooting, and telephone assistance to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Ensure smooth installations and decommissions of instruments, maintaining high standards of precision and professionalism throughout the process.

Collaborate closely with internal teams—including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Logistics—to provide a seamless customer experience and optimize operations.

Stay organised and performance-focused by managing spare parts inventory, completing admin tasks accurately, and aligning with company KPIs and quality standards.

Key requirements

  • Must reside in Barcelona to ensure availability for on-site customer visits and local commuting - in particular in Catalonia, with occasional responsibilities in the Balearic Islands and Zaragoza.

  • A valid driving licence is required for travel to customer locations.

  • Must be willing to travel regularly across the region and occasionally within Spain as needed.

  • Must speak a good level of English, verbal and written

You Bring

  • A background in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering—degree-qualified or equivalent through experience.

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with instrumentation, ideally in lab or hospital settings.

  • Comfortable with IT systems and passionate about medical diagnostics and innovation.

  • Organised, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.

  • Thrives in a flexible, fast-moving environment and committed to sustainability in day-to-day work.
