Overview: EUROIMMUN US is seeking an Internal Applications Specialist who will be responsible for sourcing, testing, and storing samples required for customer testing and internal studies, as well as conducting laboratory testing to resolve customer complaints and inquiries. This individual will work closely with both vendors and internal teams to ensure the efficient procurement, acquisition, and characterization of samples. The ideal candidate will have bench top laboratory experience, as well as possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

This role is based in the Mountain Lakes, NJ EUROIMMUN US headquarters. Due to the nature of the role, it is required for the candidate to be present on-site, daily. This role is not eligible for a hybrid work from home arrangement.
While this role is an internally focused, occasional travel may be required to meet with vendors for sample sourcing or customer-specific needs.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to track sample usage and availability.
  • Coordinate with departments to align sample panels with testing requirements.
  • Oversee the proper storage and maintenance of all samples in accordance with company protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure samples are correctly labeled and organized for easy retrieval.
  • Identify vendors for sourcing, then negotiate and manage vendor contracts and agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Project Management, Technical Operations and Commercial team to ensure timely and efficient sample acquisition, testing, and availability to speed customer implementations.
  • Conduct testing on samples related to customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Document and report findings to relevant departments for further investigation.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and customer service teams to address and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sample-related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Maintain working knowledge of instrumentation, products and techniques manufactured and/or distributed by EUROIMMUN US.
  • Perform and document instrument maintenance to reflect optimal testing environment.
  • Responsible for purchasing laboratory supplies and tracking inventory to accommodate testing needs.
  • Assist with internal training sessions as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with a minimum of four (4) years of experience conducting bench-top laboratory work in either a clinical or research laboratory.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with a minimum of four (2) years of experience conducting bench-top laboratory work in either a clinical or research laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Be familiar with IFA, ELISA, Immunoblot.
  • Training and competence using pipetting equipment, as well as the ability to be trained to operate on multiple automation platforms.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and laboratory terminology.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance in the diagnostics or medical laboratory industry.
  • Exhibits high level of critical thinking abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of diagnostic testing processes and sample handling protocols.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.
