Job Summary

BioLegend is seeking a Research Associate in antibody development. A successful candidate would have experience in hybridoma technology, rodent immunization, and immunoassay screening. The person filling this position would work as part of the monoclonal antibody development team and would be responsible for developing monoclonal antibodies derived from immunized animals. Duties would include antigen preparation, animal immunization, blood collection, tissue harvesting, serum analysis, cell lysate preparation, and immunoassay screening.

Essential Functions

  • Rodent handling and immunization

  • Immunoassay- specifically Western blot, ELISA, and flow cytometry

  • Blood collection and serum isolation

  • Tissue collection

  • Hybridoma Fusion

  • Cell culture

  • Cell lysate preparation

  • Uploading assay results into lab database

  • Presenting assay results in weekly department meetings

  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life or Natural Sciences

  • 0-2+ years of laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cell Biology, Immunology, or Biotechnology major

  • 2+ years of experience in Western blots and ELISAs

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture

  • Experience with rodent handling and immunization

  • Candidate should be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite programs

  • Experience with hybridoma technology

  • Basic knowledge of immunology

  • Ability to work closely as part of a team

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Compensation Range:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $48,000-55,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. 

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
