Job Summary

The candidate should have experience with laboratory techniques required for the processing and analysis of cells using flow cytometry and single-cell sequencing technologies.

The candidate is expected to have working knowledge of the development of optimized conditions for antibody binding of cell surface antigens in viable cells, the analysis of intracellular antigens in fixed cells, diverse primary cell line culture and banking, preparation of cellular suspensions from intact tissues, isolation of immune cell subsets from blood, isolation of immune cell subsets from tissues, preparation of cellular suspensions from intact tissues, isolation and analysis of nuclei.

  • Experimental design and execution
  • Methodology development/optimization
  • Data analysis and report generation
  • Cell culture, isolation, staining, flow cytometry and single-cell sequencing
  • Handling biological samples (human blood, animal blood and tissues, mammalian cell lines).
  • Prepare and handle DNA and RNA samples; perform molecular biology including PCR, qPCR, RNA-Seq, etc.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation, following company policies and ISO requirements
  • Present results to internal and external stakeholders clearly, and respond to questions thoughtfully
  • Maintain laboratory, lab equipment and supplies as needed
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 10+ years’ experience OR PhD with 5+ years’ experience in laboratory setting
  • 5 years of experience in cell isolation, culture, and analysis from multiple tissue sources
  • 3+ years of working with the formulation and optimization of multiplexed antibody panels for flow cytometry or immunoassays

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Experience in NGS experimental design, execution and analysis
  • Previous experience in product development
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization using R
  • Hands on experience working with droplet based single cell sequencing methods
  • Knowledge of statistics and appropriate statistical tests for hypothesis generation/ hypothesis testing
  • Knowledge of immunology literature, especially related to the characterization of both common and rare immune cell subsets
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Relevant peer-reviewed publication track record
  • Proven effectiveness when working as part of a team

The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 -$95,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. 

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
