Revvity is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the NGS R&D team. This role will help develop new NGS products and protocols to support the development and launch activities of library preparation kits, reagents, and applications. This position is primarily wet lab designing and performing experiments, with the ideal candidate able to assist in analysis and propose novel ideas based on the data obtained. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate a focused attention to detail, work well with others in a team environment, and effectively communicate observations, results, and data interpretation to fellow team members.
Responsibilities:
Perform standard NGS experiments such as PCR, DNA extraction, NGS library prep, ect.
Set up runs and maintain Illumina sequencers
DNA/RNA assessment (qPCR, Lab Chip, agarose gels, ect.)
Provide cross-functional support for analysis needs of Production teams and Business teams.
Provide support for end-user custom analysis requests as needed.
Document all development work, analyses, and planned experiments in accordance with Revvity Design Control Process.
Able to plan and execute complex projects in a timely fashion.
Present analysis findings and interpretations to research team members, cross-functional leaders, and senior management.
Demonstrate ability to collaborate with others.
Actively troubleshoot and identify opportunities for optimization and automation of analyses pipelines.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelors or Masters in relevant field (i.e., genetics, molecular biology, or similar).
Demonstrated experience with DNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, whole genome sequencing, targeted panel sequencing analysis (experience with analysis pipeline automation is preferred).
Illumina NGS data experience (Ion Torrent or other platform data experience a plus).
Preferred Experience:
>2 years direct experience with NGS analysis pipeline development.
Experience with Illumina sequencers
Ability to program/code in various languages (Python/Unix/Perl/R) and comfortable working in with command line.
Aseptic cell culture techniques and single cell technologies
Utilizing NGS automation or liquid handling platforms (Sciclone, Zephyr, ect.)
Able to meet to project requirements and timelines.
Experience working in a regulated environment under a controlled design review process is preferred.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
