Job Description: The Director of ERP Program Management will lead the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise-wide SAP initiatives, including S/4HANA transformation. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in SAP ERP systems, program governance, and change management to ensure successful implementation and optimization of SAP solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap
• Align ERP roadmap with organizational objectives, digital transformation goals, and industry best practices.
• Present program updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and steering committees.
Program Governance & Delivery
• Establish and enforce governance frameworks for SAP program execution, including risk management, compliance, and quality assurance.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of SAP projects: blueprinting, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Monitor program KPIs (budget adherence, timeline, quality metrics) and implement corrective actions proactively.
SAP S/4HANA Expertise
• Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP S/4HANA modules (Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing).
• Ensure seamless integration with SAP Fiori, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and third-party applications.
• Oversee data migration strategy, master data governance, and system performance tuning.
Stakeholder & Change Management
• Act as the primary liaison between business units and SAP technical teams to ensure alignment and adoption.
• Develop and execute change management strategies to minimize disruption and maximize user adoption.
• Conduct executive-level workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to drive buy-in.
Vendor & Partner Management
• Manage SAP implementation partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors to ensure contractual compliance and delivery excellence.
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics with SAP and service providers.
• Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
Training & Enablement
• Oversee development of training programs for end-users and super-users across business functions.
• Ensure knowledge transfer from implementation partners to internal teams for long-term sustainability.
• Drive communication plans for ERP rollouts, upgrades, and enhancements.
Risk & Compliance
• Identify and mitigate risks related to SAP implementation, including data security, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity.
• Ensure adherence to SOX, GDPR, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
Continuous Improvement
• Monitor post-implementation performance and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Champion automation, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities within SAP ecosystem for business efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in ERP and enterprise systems implementation and support.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in SAP ECC, S/4HANA and/or Microsoft Dynamics (365 or earlier versions such as AX/NAV) implementations, global rollouts, and platform consolidations.
• Led at least two large-scale ERP transformations (greenfield or upgrade) in complex global organizations.
• 10+ years of experience in solution design, APIs, integrations, data conversions, and modern SDLC practices.
• 10+ years of experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree/MBA and preferably program management certification.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability and willingness to roll up sleeves as needed to ensure group success.
• Experience and knowledge in the life sciences or diagnostic industries.
• Ability to influence process design to minimize customizations.
• 5+ years of strong familiarity and hands-on experience in key functional process areas such as finance, supply chain, or order-to-cash. Ability to align technology solutions with business processes.
