Summary:

The candidate will participate in the activities of the ECC/APO Master Data Management team including but not limited to material master, purchasing master data, pricing master data, Bills of Materials, sales data, pricing conditions, intercompany master data, PPMs, APO product masters, resources, as well as currency exchange rates and standard costing data. The candidate works closely with all functional areas in business and IT and must have a good understanding and functional knowledge in SAP ECC/APO and high-level business functional knowledge like sales, finance, inventory, sales and distribution, purchasing, and quality of an organization.

The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to participate in data conversion activities for medium—to large projects. In addition, the position requires mid-level or above proficiency in analyzing and manipulating large datasets in MS Office, including MS Office Excel, and access to databases.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will deliver against the following:

Global standardization of master data across functional areas and varied systems.

  • Executes changes to master data (customer, material & vendor) as approved by the business review process including requests to create, change, extend, block/unblock, activate/deactivate, or otherwise modify master data and executes mass maintenance requests as directed
  • Familiarity and knowledge of departmental functions, terminology, and interrelationships for data types such as Customer (AR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, etc.), Vendor (Procurement, Supply Chain, AP, Customer Support. etc.), and Material (Procurement, Supply Chain, AR, AP, Customer Support, etc.).
  • Liaison with various departments to define processes for creating master data, including customers, materials, and vendors. Execute the policies for master data management and business rules--and monitor the adherence to the policies and procedures across all functional groups. Organize and manage data clean-up and validation efforts by reaching out to all business partners to ensure the integrity of master data
  • Document master data activities accurately, appropriately, and according to established formats. Write and revise department documents in compliance with business change control processes.
  • Monitor data accuracy, validity, and completeness, and correct them as needed. Follow established routine verification procedures and provide feedback to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
  • Governance to eliminate the creation of redundancies in Material Master Data. Managing the manufacturing data for consistency throughout the Global system. Audit Manufacturing data for assurance and timeliness. Spot checks as well as report reviews. Stewardship to ensure classification and structural integrity and Manufacturing Data
  • Maintain accurate material master data across all plants and sales orgs in SAP for sellable material master data and sales views across the sales orgs
  • Disseminate, train, and then monitor the usage of this data by a variety of business and IT functional areas
  • Directly manage and execute intercompany master data for Tax and International Trade Compliance (ITC)
  • Working with the site planning leads and planners, uncover and lead additional programs to improve planning processes and systems to world-class levels, including (but not limited to) advanced planning, life cycle management, inventory optimization, and distribution network design
  • Ensure data quality, as well as principles and processes that will maintain data consistency across business platforms
  • Lead the training and design/document new process flow for new companies moving to SAP within Revvity, including uploading and maintaining all new materials and supply chain requirements
  • Develop and execute master data control/governance so that Revvity master data is correct and of high quality.
  • Ensure proper coordination among cross-functional teams for decision-making and ownership of data elements and Metadata bundles.
  • Provide a high level of leadership and proper administration of MDM functional and operational responsibilities
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for master data changes within the MDM team.
  • Ensure conformance with all regulatory and company requirements

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of related work experience, ideally with SAP master data and pricing
  • Significant SAP expertise with an emphasis on plant and sales org relationships, material master data fields, purchasing, inventory management, sales and distribution, and supply chain
  • Strong data analysis skills required: MS Excel, MS Access expertise required
  • Clear, high-performance orientation, committed to agreed-upon objectives, and takes pride in work; demonstrates energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Executes duties in a customer-focused, cooperative team approach with all Company personnel
  • Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with the IT support team and IT management
  • Work independently and be a key team member of the global MDM team.

Desired Skills:

  • S4 & MDG experience is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effectively articulating complex concepts and ideas to broad audiences.
