Purpose:

Create, monitor and analyze operational and financial metrics and cost elements while  developing appropriate measures and implementing with the support of functional leadership the appropriate actions to achieve improvement in shipping costs, service levels and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financials and develops solutions to meet key business issues.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards for improved business understanding and improvement of financial and operational performance.
  • Analyze monthly performance results, monitor ledger variances, identify trends and recommend actions.
  • Compare actual measures/metrics with plans/forecast and identify the financial status
  • Reconcile from system to reporting by comparing and correcting data.
  • Assist with forecasting and monthly reporting.
  • Develop reports/dashboards for better efficiency and productivity.
  • Work with internal and external parties to organize components of operational projects and processes. Duties include coordination of schedules and activities, tracking progress, and reporting results. Help drive operations strategies and objectives, and provide support/guidance to key operations teams/leaders on product, process, and performance across Global Operations.
  • Maintain the standards, processes, procedures, and deliverables for all reporting activities for assigned delivery team. Ensure adherence to QC/QA requirements including document control.
  • Ensure proper detailed documentation on all project objectives, requirements, and status updates. Prepare and present formal project progress reports.
  • Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for data and tools.
  • Participate in departmental continuous improvement activities to increase operational efficiency and productivity, using six sigma and lean as primary continuous improvement methodologies.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Logistics, Finance or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, SAP, Spotfire and/or Power BI / Tableau is desired.  
  • Accounting/Financial Planning & Analysis experience. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation and documentation; requires interaction with managers, supervisors, engineers, and hourly associates in a fast pace environment.
  • Experience and understanding of project management tools and techniques
  • Self-Motivated and proactive with demonstrated tenacity and drive to inject value and create solutions.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
