We are looking to welcome R&D Scientists to join us in Turku. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a part of the project to create something truly brand new! We are willing to strengthen our core project team with 3 new members for a fixed-term contract (until end of 2025) in order to launch the product on schedule. We value both, fresh thinking and strong knowledge so we would be happy to hear from applicants either with strong experience or fewer years of experience.

As R&D Scientist you will

  • conduct research and development activities to realize products within named project for example by selecting raw materials and designing manufacturing processes. 
  • plan independently and/or as part of a team laboratory experiments for example characterization tests, verification tests and stability tests.
  • Realize documents and reports according to plans and standardized operation procedures.
  • develop research and development methodology.

In order to be successful in this position

  • you need to be able to collaborate across all levels of the organization including the project team and functions locally and globally. 
  • you have Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar.
  • knowledge on IVD regulation and design controls during product development is a major benefit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive lab/technology experience.
  • Knowledge of biomarker research and detection technologies.
  • Experience on managing collaboration projects.
  • > 2 years experience
