Essential Functions

· Oversee daily transactions of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
· Help implement and maintain a SOX compliant environment of internal controls with respect to AP, AR, & purchasing
· Understand transactions and journal entries supporting the financial statements
· Ability to analyze, reconcile and troubleshoot errors and problems, and be able to clearly correct, update, and communicate policies as needed
· Understand in detail how transactions flow through the Company’s ERP system
· Oversees the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk.
· Understand month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures to ensure financial statement accuracy, timeliness and integrity
· Identify and suggest areas for improvement and efficiencies of the Company’s financial systems, and participate in enhancements and refinements to current structures and systems
· Performs other related duties as assigned by Accounting Manager
· Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
· Previous progressive accounting experience with at least 3 of those years in a management position.
· Knowledge of internal audit- able to design, document, review, and test internal controls
· Experience using a mid- to high-end fully integrated ERP system (such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV)
· Ability to work smoothly and effectively with other accounting staff as well as stakeholders in the rest of the Company
· Proficiency in Excel
· Excellent oral and written communication in English
