Meet Martin, Imaging Expert at Revvity
With a doctorate in Experimental Physics and extensive experience in life science technology, Martin joined Revvity in 2023 after leadership roles in software development, product management, and strategic marketing.
Phenologic.AI Simplified
Phenologic.AI represents a breakthrough in cellular imaging by using pretrained deep neural networks to identify cells and cellular nuclei in both fluorescent and brightfield images.
"It introduces a Find Nuclei AI building block to our software which simplifies the detection of cellular nuclei in brightfield images—traditionally challenging without nuclear staining," Martin explains. This innovation saves time by reducing parameter fine-tuning while allowing swift, precise cell analysis.

Real-World Impact
For scientists and researchers, Phenologic.AI streamlines cell imaging workflows and opens new possibilities for understanding cellular behaviors and disease mechanisms.
A Collaborative Achievement
"Most exciting about Phenologic.AI is that it's a collaborative development with contributions from various Revvity sites, academic partners, and customers," Martin shares. The technology began as a research collaboration with the University of Tartu, Estonia, and has grown through contributions from teams in Hamburg, Tallinn, Granada, Codolet, Cambridge and Coventry.
Future Vision
Phenologic.AI enables high-quality analysis of label-free brightfield images for studying live cells while making image analysis accessible. "Even non-imaging-experts achieve remarkable findings without intensive training with just a few mouse clicks," making it a powerful tool in expanding the boundaries of human potential through science.
