The Revvity Mimix Diagnostic Reference Standards team provides genetically defined, human cell line derived genomic reference standards. These standards offer a sustainable source of reference material to laboratories, proficiency schemes, and manufacturers, and provide an unprecedented level of control to the molecular pathology community. The availability of genetically defined reference standards provides an industry standard for development and quality control of molecular assays, directly improving their accuracy.
Our R&D team in Cambridge have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Product Development Manager to join our Mimix Research and Development Group and make their mark in the development of the next wave of diagnostic products and services, from ideation to feasibility and transfer to manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct, lead and manage a team of research and development scientists’ team within a dynamic corporate environment.
Conducts and collaborates with others on the principles and theories in biology research.
Develops strategies to ensure effective achievement of scientific objectives.
Monitors and evaluates completion of tasks and projects.
Analysing data and presenting results to senior leadership.
Input into product strategy in line with market needs.
Interacting with clients and beta testers.
Work alongside Marketing teams for product launch activities.
Requirements:
PhD (or equivalent)
Direct management experience.
Experience in the diagnostic industry and/or commercial product development.
Strong molecular biology skills especially around DNA and RNA genetics, IHC, oncology and or neonatal testing.
In addition, the following would be advantageous:
Experience of working in a GMP or ISO9001/ISO13485-regulated environment.
You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment and on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines, be well organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
