Sr. Spotfire Client Support Engineer

Scope of Work Activities

• Providing technical support to external customers for Spotfire Client and related products by web meeting and email. Replicating, debugging, and solving customer issues.

• Working collaboratively with the cross-functional group of R&D, and Services staff to drive issue resolution.

• Update/Create documentation assets as required.

• Support Marketing, Sales and Services staff as needed, which could include building demo servers, building marketing assets, helping to train internal staff.

Skills and Competencies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or Information Technology.

• At least 5 years’ experience using scientific software.

• Experience supporting Analytical, Data Visualization, or Data Science applications and their workflows.

• Working knowledge of statistical tools used for data analytics, such as IronPython, R, and/or SAS.

• Superior troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical problems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Proficiency with Python and Java programming languages.

• Experience with Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of database connectivity and understanding of SQL.

• Self-starter mentality with strong attention to detail.

Managerial Approach

Daily status reporting to track results, progress, and problems, moving to weekly reporting after orientation period.

Measurements will include Customer Satisfaction, resolution rate, number of cases resolved, support case quality and progress against team goals.
