We're looking for a Junior Solutions Architect to join our Applications & Analytics team and support development of custom solutions for the internal Commercial team.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and optimizing software applications and infrastructure.

  • Collaborating with development team and stakeholders to ensure that the solutions built meet user requirements and are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.

  • Managing the SDLC, including overseeing the development process from start to finish, ensuring that it follows established standards and best practices.

  • Enforcing compliance with security and performance standards, ensuring that the software is secure and protected against potential security breaches.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python, JS, HTML, and CSS.

  • Proficiency in source control, specifically using Git and GitHub.

  • Proficiency in software testing (unit and integration).

  • Familiarity with software and architecture design patterns.

  • Experience with UI/UX development for customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential to communicate effectively with other members of the team, stakeholders, and clients to ensure that the application meets the client’s requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field (professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

Nice-to-have's:

  • Familiarity with Linux systems
    (setup, permission control, remote access, CRON jobs, etc.)

  • Familiarity with cloud service providers and their offerings.

  • Familiarity with modern security practices such as data encryption, secure data transmission, access control, and least privilege.

  • Familiarity with the setup and administration of webservers (Apache2, Uvicorn, etc.)
