The Bottling Technician 2 for the BMIA group will be responsible for filling, capping, labeling, and completing batch records, and putting away Finished Good Inventory (FGI). They will also be responsible for kit assembly and product pouching. This role will also be responsible for order fulfillment, CST bottling and assembly, product formulations, and customer complaint investigations.
This is a highly team-oriented group which involves working closely with other core teams within the BMIA Departments (LEGENDplex and ELISA) as well as other departments such as Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, Custom Solution Team (CST), Packaging, MCI, and Quality Control groups.
Essential Functions

- Adhere to all BSL2 safety policies, correct procedures, dress code and health/safety guidelines
- Follow line clearance policies to avoid cross contamination, mix-ups or incorrect items bottled
- Perform kit assembly processes and pouching processes
- Perform various bottling related tasks to include dispensing antibody solutions, capping and labeling of vials, tubes or bottles.
- Verify materials and documents to ensure information such as concentrations, lots number etc. are correct.
- Formulate products per approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions including multi-component cocktail formulations
- Verify formulation worksheets to ensure that information such as concentrations, lot numbers etc. are correct
- Provide training and assistance to bottling technicians of all levels
- Assist in the editing and updating of SOPs and documentation in the BMIA Assembly area
- Assist with customer complaint investigations
- Ability to perform simple Math calculations.
- Put away finished good products in their designated temperature conditions.
- Use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel.
- Set-up and prepare equipment for ongoing operations.
- Operate computer-controlled process support/process equipment (i.e., filling line, lyophilizer, capping, labeling machines, etc.).
- Correctly follow SOP instructions for completion of job tasks.
- Clean and maintains work area and all lab equipment and supplies, adhering to 5S guidelines
- Maintain accurate training record and ensure on time completion of training documents
- Follow all GDP policies
- Other projects or responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience
- Associates degree in Biology or related field or high school diploma and 2+ years’ experience in a regulated laboratory setting
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office products is a plus
- Must be organized, have ability to learn, retain, and to follow procedures, protocols, and instruction
- Must have the ability to communicate (oral and written) and to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with bottling/labeling/packaging immunoassay related products
- One year of Good Laboratory Practice and Good Documentation Practice experience
- Working experience in GMP industry and setting in compliance with ISO13485 standards
- Good time management and planning skills
- Aseptic Technique in biosafety cabinet
Work Environment & Physical Demands - Lab
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $20-$21.50/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
