The HR Technology Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of HR technology projects. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, developing project plans, partnering with the functional project lead, and ensuring that technology solutions meet the needs of the HR department and the broader organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR technology, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead HR technology projects from initiation through completion, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Develop and manage project plans, technology resources, and schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR, IT, and other business units to gather requirements, define project goals, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Facilitate communication and manage expectations among stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Technology Implementation: Oversee the implementation of HR systems and tools. Ensure that systems are configured to meet business requirements and integrate seamlessly with existing systems. Prepare project status reports, RAID logs, etc.
Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies. Provide training and support to HR teams and end-users and address any issues or concerns related to technology changes.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and consultants. Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service levels and deliverables meet project requirements.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and ensure project goals are achieved within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Additional Responsibilities: Assigned as needed per project needs
Travel: Approximately 25% during peak implementation times.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT Business administration or a related field or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years in project management with a focus on HR technology or related systems. Proven experience in managing Workday implementations.
Skills
Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
Deep understanding of HR technology solutions and their impact on HR processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
