ViaCord is a team of passionate, mission-driven, creative and entrepreneurial individuals providing newborn stem cell preservation and Genomic services to expectant families. These cutting-edge services are positioned to positively impact the future health of today’s families. The ViaCord team is currently seeking a Director, Consumer Marketing who will grow and evolve ViaCord’s Consumer Health business with the ownership and execution of three primary areas of the business:
- Collaboration with the business team to translate Market Insights into Marketing Strategies for all products.
- Growth of the business through identifying revenue opportunities among established & new accounts.
- Leverage Data & Analytics for improved understanding and performance in our Consumer Marketplace.
- Market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies:
- Create and lead a cohesive marketing plan that aligns with our brand vision and business objectives.
- Establish both short-term and long-term goals for internal marketing teams.
- Manage the conception, development, and implementation of product concepts and promotional programs to drive customer interest and sales.
- Continuously monitor and adjust strategies as needed to optimize performance.
Consumer Experience and Feedback:
- Build strong relationships with media, industry influencers, and other stakeholders.
- Champion the Voice of Consumer (VOC) within the organization, providing relevant consumer feedback and insights.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and challenges
- Optimize consumer experience across channels and recommend new channel activations.
Tactical Execution Oversight:
- Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns
- Including test and control group segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations.
- Provide guidance and ideas for organizing effective marketing events. Ensure events align with our brand and resonate with our target audience.
- Monitor all marketing campaigns, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
Budget Management and Data-Driven Decision Making
- Design and review the Marketing department’s budget, profit-and-loss projections, and expenditures ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Evaluate ROI for marketing initiatives and recommend adjustments.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the President
Team Leadership:
- Oversee internal marketing teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Establish KPI’s for the marketing department and ensure teams are meeting/exceeding KPI’s
- Forecast hiring needs and contribute to talent acquisition efforts.
- Conduct regular meetings with account managers
- To review the pipeline, resolve challenges, brainstorm possible solutions, and provide training to ensure the team consistently performs above standard
Strategic Planning:
- Participate in quarterly and annual planning sessions to shape company objectives.
- Track competitors’ activities and adapt our strategies accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in marketing.
- A minimum of years in a Director of Marketing role, or in other senior marketing roles.
- Must be able to travel, 1-2 times a year to attend conferences, seminars and strategic planning events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
- Marketing experience in the health care industry and/or women's reproductive health, preferred.
- Prior experience in full-life cycle marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrable success in designing and implementing effective marketing strategies.
- Strong knowledge and experience with guiding Brand, Creative, Digital, Product, SEO, Communications, Social Media and Analytics within a Consumer Marketing department.
- Leadership skills to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the business.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and navigate within a global matrix organization.
